According to the analysis center of the Russian Agricultural Transport Company, Russia's wheat exports in September (including exports to Eurasian Economic Union countries) are expected to reach 5.1-5.2 million tons, which is the same as the export volume in August but lower than the 5.5 million tons in the same period last year.
On September 5th, foreign media reported that the analysis center of the Russian Agricultural Transport Company reported that Russia's wheat exports in September (including exports to Eurasian Economic Union countries) are expected to reach 5.1-5.2 million tons, which is the same as the export volume in August but lower than the 5.5 million tons in the same period last year.
Although Kazakhstan implemented an import ban in August, resulting in a suspension of Russia's exports to the country, the estimated wheat exports from Russia in August have been raised from 4.95 million tons to 5.2 million tons due to an increase in exports from deep-water ports in southern Russia. The export volume of wheat in August 2023 is 5.4 million tons.
The center also stated that the export price of 12.5% protein wheat from Russia delivered in September remained the same as last week, at $216 per ton, FOB.
Continuous rainfall in the Siberian region, especially in the Omsk area, has made harvesting difficult and affected wheat prices. This situation leads to a loss of wheat harvest and a decrease in quality.
